Catering on Main is a family-own catering business focusing on boxed lunches for workplaces and event services.
Problem
The challenge was to create a simple way for customers to place catering orders without having to call. Traditional online ordering wasn’t a good fit because each order needed approval before payment. The solution was to use order forms instead.
Process
I built custom order forms for boxed lunches and event catering. For boxed lunches, customers can choose sandwiches and sides, including a build-your-own option. The form provides an estimated cost and explains that once the order is reviewed, a confirmation and invoice are sent by email.
Results
The website has been successfully used multiple times by repeat customers, mainly a local insurance group. The order system has worked seamlessly, and email-based communication has proven to be an effective, easy-to-reference solution for the Catering on Main team.
